Peta Dasar Pertanahan Skala 1:10.000 dari Citra Satelit SPOT-5, dibuat secara remote sensing.
Salah satu program Badan Pertanahan Nasional Pusat adalah pembangunan Sistem Informasi Pertanahan Nasional (SIMTANAS). Ini adalah suatu sistem besar yang melibatkan berbagai aspek kegiatan. Salah satunya adalah pembangunan geodatabase spasial pertanahan yang diantara unsur pembentuknya adalah peta dasar pertanahan skala 1:10.000.
Mempertimbangkan faktor ketelitian geometris data spasial yang diharapkan, kelengkapan informasi spasial, dan ketersediaan anggaran, maka metode yang digunakan adalah pemetaan secara remote sensing dengan data masukannya berupa citra satelit SPOT-5.
